Fixed broadband penetration was 24.1 subscriptions per 100 people, mobile cellular penetration was 101.9 subscriptions per 100 people, and secure Internet server density was 6,941 per 1 million people. Over five years, Internet use changed by +10.6 percentage points, fixed broadband penetration by +8.2, mobile penetration by +4.6.
In the common comparison year 2024, Brazil ranked 89th of 213 economies by Internet use.

Individuals using the Internet, % of population. The share of a country’s population that used the Internet from any device, including mobile phones, in the last three months.
Fixed broadband subscriptions, per 100 people. Subscriptions to high-speed wired Internet access, per 100 people; counts active subscriptions, not unique users or households.
Mobile cellular subscriptions, per 100 people. Subscriptions to a public mobile telephone service, per 100 people; counts active SIM subscriptions, not unique subscribers.
Secure Internet servers, per 1 million people. The number of servers using encrypted (SSL/TLS) connections, per 1 million people — a proxy for the maturity of a country’s e-commerce and secure web infrastructure.
