The report examines the volume and composition of trademark filings in Guinea by applicant residence.
Resident trademark applications in Guinea reached 19 in 2013, compared with 622 nonresident applications. The resident-to-nonresident filing ratio was 0.03. Trademark activity was equivalent to 44.7 applications per 1 million people and 26.99 applications per US$1 billion of GDP. The country registered 5,626 new businesses in 2024, corresponding to 0.12 trademark applications per newly registered business.
Based on comparable data for 2012, Guinea ranked 153rd of 155 economies by the resident share of trademark filings.
