Morocco’s urbanization rate stood at 62.8% in 2024, up by 1.0 percentage points over five years. The number of people living in urban areas was 24,260,523 in 2025, while annual urban population growth reached 1.4% in 2025.
Based on comparable data for 2024, Morocco recorded the 114th-highest urban population share among 217 economies. Its five-year urban population growth ranked 112th of 217 economies with sufficient data.
