This report examines the share and composition of renewable electricity in Cambodia, including hydro and non-hydro generation.
Cambodia’s renewable electricity mix was divided between hydropower, which represented 34.5% of total generation, and other renewable sources at 5.0% in 2021. Hydropower accounted for 61.2% of renewable electricity.
Non-hydro renewable electricity production reached 507,940,000 kWh in 2021, changing by -2231.5% over five years. Based on comparable 2021 data, Cambodia recorded the 62nd-highest renewable electricity share among 209 economies. The non-hydro renewable share changed by +5.4 percentage points over the latest five-year period.
