The fiscal position of Tunisia in 2012 comprised government revenue excluding grants of 29.9% of GDP and expense of 33.8% of GDP. Net lending or borrowing was -4.8% of GDP. Relative to the previous year, the balance down by 1.2 percentage points. Tax revenue represented 20.1% of GDP in 2012. Grants and other revenue accounted for 9.1% of total revenue in 2012.
