The report examines the composition of Tuvalu's external trade by separating goods from services.
International trade in Tuvalu comprised $183,598 in goods exports, $2.0 million in service exports, $24.2 million in goods imports and $33.1 million in service imports in 2022. The service-to-goods export ratio was 1115.7%, while the corresponding import ratio was 136.7%. Over five years, goods exports changed by -53.7% and service exports changed by -75.2%. The total balance on goods and services was -$55.2 million.
Based on comparable data for 2022, Tuvalu ranked 200th of 200 economies by goods exports and 200th of 200 by service exports.
