The report examines the composition of North Macedonia's external trade by separating goods from services.
International trade in North Macedonia comprised $7.87 billion in goods exports, $3.55 billion in service exports, $11.67 billion in goods imports and $2.40 billion in service imports in 2025. The service-to-goods export ratio was 45.1%, while the corresponding import ratio was 20.5%. Over five years, goods exports changed by +42.2% and service exports changed by +114.6%. The total balance on goods and services was -$2.64 billion.
Based on comparable data for 2025, North Macedonia ranked 109th of 200 economies by goods exports and 107th of 200 by service exports.
