This article presents the structure of New Caledonia's merchandise imports by major product group.
Manufactures accounted for 56.5% of merchandise imports into New Caledonia in 2015. Food represented 15.8%, fuels 22.3%, ores and metals 3.3% and agricultural raw materials 0.9%. The largest broad import category was manufactures, with a share of 56.5%.
Over the latest five-year period, fuels recorded the largest increase, changing by +6.4 percentage points, while manufactures recorded the largest decline of 0.2 percentage points.
