This article presents Lao PDR's international trade in goods and services using balance-of-payments export and import indicators.
Goods exports from Lao PDR were valued at $9.39 billion in 2024, while service exports totaled $1.73 billion. Goods represented 84.4% of total exports and services accounted for 15.6%. Goods imports reached $8.66 billion, compared with service imports of $1.27 billion. The goods trade balance was $723.3 million, and the services trade balance was $464.8 million.
