Estonia Merchandise Export Structure: Manufactures, Food, Fuels and Primary Commodities

The analysis summarizes changes in Estonia's export composition and identifies the largest broad product categories.

Manufactures accounted for 64.4% of merchandise exports from Estonia in 2024. Food represented 13.6%, fuels 7.8%, ores and metals 1.9% and agricultural raw materials 6.6%. The largest broad export category was manufactures, with a share of 64.4%.

Over the latest five-year period, food recorded the largest increase, changing by +3.2 percentage points, while manufactures recorded the largest decline of 6.7 percentage points.

Manufactures exports, % of merchandise exports. The share of merchandise exports accounted for by manufactured goods (SITC sections 5 to 8, excluding division 68).

Food exports, % of merchandise exports. The share of merchandise exports accounted for by food products, including live animals, beverages and related items.

Fuel exports, % of merchandise exports. The share of merchandise exports accounted for by mineral fuels, lubricants and related materials.

Ores and metals exports, % of merchandise exports. The share of merchandise exports accounted for by ores, metals, precious stones and non-monetary gold.

Agricultural raw materials exports, % of merchandise exports. The share of merchandise exports accounted for by agricultural raw materials such as timber, textile fibers and rubber.
