This article presents patent, trademark and industrial design applications in Kazakhstan.
Intellectual property applications in Kazakhstan in 2018 included 982 patent applications, 27,447 trademark applications and 253 industrial design applications. The largest category was trademarks, representing 95.7% of all included applications. Resident applicants accounted for 80.3% of patent filings, 38.5% of trademark filings and 32.8% of industrial design filings. Total included IP applications were equivalent to 1376.0 per 1 million people.
