The digital connectivity profile of Belize in 2024 included an Internet-use rate of 80.0%, fixed broadband penetration of 9.8 subscriptions per 100 people and mobile penetration of 67.2 subscriptions per 100 people. The difference between Internet use and fixed broadband penetration was +70.3 points, while the mobile-to-broadband ratio was 6.9. Secure Internet servers numbered 464,560 per 1 million people. The female Internet-use rate was 81.7%, compared with 78.3% for males.

Individuals using the Internet, % of population. The share of a country’s population that used the Internet from any device, including mobile phones, in the last three months.
Fixed broadband subscriptions, per 100 people. Subscriptions to high-speed wired Internet access, per 100 people; counts active subscriptions, not unique users or households.
Mobile cellular subscriptions, per 100 people. Subscriptions to a public mobile telephone service, per 100 people; counts active SIM subscriptions, not unique subscribers.
Secure Internet servers, per 1 million people. The number of servers using encrypted (SSL/TLS) connections, per 1 million people — a proxy for the maturity of a country’s e-commerce and secure web infrastructure.
