Trademark applications in Sri Lanka totaled 9,947 in 2021. Resident applicants filed 6,321, while nonresident applicants filed 3,626. Resident applications represented 63.5% of total filings. Total trademark applications changed by -8.1% over five years and by +29.9% over ten years.
In the common comparison year 2021, Sri Lanka ranked 80th of 155 economies by total trademark applications.
