The report examines the volume and composition of trademark filings in Seychelles by applicant residence.
Resident trademark applications in Seychelles reached 33 in 2021, compared with 411 nonresident applications. The resident-to-nonresident filing ratio was 0.08. Trademark activity was equivalent to 3617.7 applications per 1 million people and 204.87 applications per US$1 billion of GDP. The country registered 370 new businesses in 2024, corresponding to 1.20 trademark applications per newly registered business.
Based on comparable data for 2021, Seychelles ranked 132nd of 155 economies by the resident share of trademark filings.
