The report examines the shares of manufactures, food, fuels, ores and metals, and agricultural raw materials in Libya's merchandise imports.
The merchandise import structure of Libya in 2019 comprised manufactures (62.7%), food (21.6%), fuels (13.1%), ores and metals (1.7%), agricultural raw materials (0.4%). Manufactures represented 62.7% of imports, compared with a combined 36.9% for food, fuels, ores and metals, and agricultural raw materials. ICT goods accounted for 5.7% of total goods imports in 2019.
In the common comparison year 2019, Libya ranked 92nd of 198 economies by the manufactures share of merchandise imports and 113th of 198 by the fuel share of merchandise imports.
