The report examines the composition of Timor-Leste's external trade by separating goods from services.
International trade in Timor-Leste comprised $126.4 million in goods exports, $146.9 million in service exports, $841.5 million in goods imports and $474.7 million in service imports in 2025. The service-to-goods export ratio was 116.3%, while the corresponding import ratio was 56.4%. Over five years, goods exports changed by -91.9% and service exports changed by +269.9%. The total balance on goods and services was -$1.04 billion.
Based on comparable data for 2025, Timor-Leste ranked 181st of 200 economies by goods exports and 177th of 200 by service exports.
