This article presents Malaysia's international trade in goods and services using balance-of-payments export and import indicators.
Goods exports from Malaysia were valued at $248.39 billion in 2024, while service exports totaled $53.40 billion. Goods represented 82.3% of total exports and services accounted for 17.7%. Goods imports reached $222.72 billion, compared with service imports of $56.37 billion. The goods trade balance was $25.67 billion, and the services trade balance was -$2.97 billion.
