Exports of goods and services from Ukraine totaled $54.27 billion in 2025, compared with imports of $111.07 billion. The resulting external balance was -$56.80 billion, or -26.5% of GDP.
Trade in goods and services represented 77.8% of GDP in 2024, down by 12.8 percentage points over five years. Based on comparable data for 2024, Ukraine ranked 106th of 192 economies by trade as a share of GDP and 168th of 194 by the external balance as a share of GDP.
