This article presents patent, trademark and industrial design applications in Barbados.
Intellectual property applications in Barbados in 2013 included 42 patent applications, 1,182 trademark applications and 5 industrial design applications. The largest category was trademarks, representing 96.2% of all included applications. Resident applicants accounted for 7.1% of patent filings, 18.9% of trademark filings and 40.0% of industrial design filings. Total included IP applications were equivalent to 4348.5 per 1 million people.
