The report examines the transition between fixed and mobile telecommunications in Aruba.
The telecommunications subscription structure of Aruba in 2022 comprised 80.3% mobile cellular subscriptions and 19.7% fixed telephone subscriptions. Mobile penetration exceeded fixed-line penetration by 98.6 subscriptions per 100 people. Mobile subscriptions first exceeded fixed subscriptions in 2001. Fixed broadband penetration was 17.5 subscriptions per 100 people in 2022.
Based on comparable data for 2022, Aruba ranked 32nd of 213 economies by fixed telephone penetration and 57th of 214 by mobile penetration.
