The report examines the development of Internet adoption in Albania through population coverage and long-term changes.
Internet use in Albania stood at 85.9% of the population in 2024, up by 2.7 percentage points from the previous available observation. The female Internet-use rate was 81.7% in 2023, compared with 84.6% for males in 2023, producing a 2.9-percentage-point gap in favor of men. Fixed broadband penetration was 24.9 subscriptions per 100 people, while mobile cellular penetration was 89.1 subscriptions per 100 people.
Based on comparable data for 2024, Albania ranked 84th of 213 economies by Internet use.
